Paris Hilton is the daughter of Ricky and Kathy Hilton, the great grand daughter of hotel magnate Conrad Hilton and grand daughter of Barron Hilton and the grand niece of Nicholas Conrad “Nicky” Hilton, the first husband of Elizabeth Taylor. She was born on February 17, 1981 in New York, NY.

Growing up in Manhattan's ritzy Waldorf-Astoria, the family's New York home, as well as other Hilton digs in Beverly Hills and the Hamptons, Paris didn't seem to yearn for much. Even after graduating from high school, college didn't appeal to her.

It was after completing her High School and leaving graduate studies midway that Paris as she loves to call herself wanted to do something different from family tradition , so she opted for modeling profession and walked the ramps for famous designers like Marc Bouwer and Catherine Malndrino.

She began to make a name for herself as a model, soon appearing in shows for designers such as Marc Bouwer and Catherine Malandrino, and she later completed an ad campaign for Iceberg, an Italian label. In addition, Paris has posed for spreads in national magazines such as GQ, Vanity Fair and FHM.

Paris Hilton has no film credits to her name; in 2001, she landed a cameo role as herself in Ben Stiller's Zoolander and later stretched her acting chops to play a rowdy clubber in The Cat in the Hat (2003). Unfortunately for Hilton, her small role in James Cox's crime thriller Wonderland that same year was overshadowed by a larger role in an explicit homemade sex video, which her ex-boyfriend promptly sold to the salivating Internet hoards.

Paris Hilton featured in fish out of water reality show titled The Simple Life. The show was broadcast on Fox. She gave a cameo appearance in Ben Stiller’s fashion spoof Zoolander.

Paris has designed a high-end collection of purses for Tokyo label Samantha Thavasa. Paris has also given back; she has done charity work for Toys for Tots. Unfortunately, her attempts to start a modeling company and a makeup line seem to have fizzled.
